Birthday Weekend, 2000 (at last) - Saturday Evening Scene, part one
These photographs are from the weekend that Daniel arranged for Craig's Y2K Birthday. From Friday through Sunday Evening, 12 Tops had charge of Craig in 10 venues (including both public and private spaces). We intended to write up the weekend and to get feedback from the various Tops involved, but life intervened and that hasn't happened yet.
This page of thumbnails is of the scene that took place in James' photography/bondage studio. James is the brilliant host, bondage brain, and photographer for the Nawa Shibari web site. He was also the producer of Art Bound I and II, in which we were participants (See Gallery 5 and Gallery 7). The birthday weekend would not have been complete without his contribution. Gallery 9 is devoted entirely to the suspended crucifixion James created. What neither of these galleries contains, unfortunately, is photographs of James and our friend Noeth Draig (who took these photographs) carrying Craig, who was bound to a long bamboo pole, into a very public play party after having transported him across Capital Hill in this condition... in the back of their truck.
